Who are we?



Hi! My name is Marianne and along with Pippa, my trusty little assistant, we are Toodlepips Designs!


About Pippa
Pippa is a chocolate and tan Miniature Dachshund and she was born in Cardiff, November 2019.
We live on the Isle of Wight, so beach walks are one of her favourite things to do, when she's not curled up on the sofa or playing with her ball! She has the sweetest temperament and the cutest face which makes her the perfect model. She'll happily sit there during photo shoots... for generous payment in the form of treats of course!

How We Started
I've always had an interest in arts & crafts and in 2020, I started making face coverings to keep me busy during the Covid lock-downs. I received lovely feedback from my customers and this gave me the confidence to experiment with other projects. As ideas progressed, I started adding pet accessories to our shop, which proved to be extremely popular because just like me, you all prefer to shop for your dogs! So we now predominantly make pet accessories, but the odd thing or two for us hoomans always sneak their way in to the mix!

We have gained some wonderful regular customers over the last few years and we really appreciate all of you who support us. We absolutely love making and creating stylish accessories for your lovely dogs and making to the best quality us always a priority!

PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 3 WEEKS FOR YOUR ORDER TO BE DESPATCHED. LARGE ORDERS MAY TAKE LONGER AT BUSY TIMES. ORDERS PLACED OVER A WEEKEND OR BANK HOLIDAY, WILL BE RECEIVED THE NEXT WORKING DAY, AFTER WHICH OUR TURNAROUND TIME WILL THEN APPLY.

For orders under £40.00, P&P is £3.50.
All orders will be sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 and we will include the tracking number in your despatch email (please check junk mail if you cannot see it)

Shipping is available for UK addresses only.
(Please note that we are currently unable to offer shipping outside of the United Kingdom. We apologise for any disappointment caused)

How long will I have to wait for my order?
We make everything to order in your chosen options, so please allow up to 3 weeks for your items to be despatched. Orders placed on a weekend or bank holiday will be received the next working day and the turnaround time will apply from this date. This is a maximum timescale and in many cases your order will be despatched sooner. Please bear in mind these time scales when purchasing for growing puppies or if you need your items by a specific date. Please message us if you have any special requirements.

We put a lot of love and attention to detail into making every single item, so we believe your accessories will be worth the wait!

Which courier do you use?
All orders are sent via Royal Mail and via a tracked service. We do not use any other couriers.

Once your order has been despatched and is with Royal Mail, we are not responsible for any delays that may occur due to events out of our control (For example: Royal Mail industrial action, extreme weather conditions or delays during seasonal holidays)

Missing parcels can only be investigated with Royal Mail until 10 working days have passed since delivery was expected, these are the guidelines set out by Royal Mail.

Returns Policy

At Toodlepips Designs, we want your shopping experience to be enjoyable, so we hope that all of our policies are fair and easy to understand. By placing an order with us, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out on this website, so we recommend taking a few moments to read through our policies before placing your order. If you have any questions, please do get in touch with us, we don't bite! 


RETURNS:

What if an item has arrived faulty?
If a product arrives faulty or damaged, we must be notified as soon as you have received your order and we may request photos to show the fault or damage. Thereafter, we will arrange a replacement.

We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to the products through misuse, or damage caused to the accessories by your pets. It is up to the owner/person supervising to ensure that items are not being chewed or damaged. We advise removing all accessories from your dog when they are left unattended.

What if an incorrect item arrives?
If on a rare occasion we have made a mistake with your order, we will send out a replacement as soon as possible.

What if I have ordered the incorrect size/style?

As all of our products are handmade to order and in a variety of options chosen by you (eg. fabric choice, hardware choice, or custom sizing) we are not able to offer refunds on items if you have changed your mind or ordered the incorrect size. 
We make sure we provide detailed product information on each product listing, along with sizing information and measuring guides so that you can purchase the appropriate accessory for your dog. It is also important to bear in mind our delivery timescales, particularly when ordering for growing puppies, so we cannot offer refunds if you have ordered the incorrect size.

We are always happy to discuss our products with you before a purchase is made to give you confidence and ensure that you are buying the right accessory for your dog. So please get in touch if you need any assistance at all regarding sizing or what style of product will suit your dog the best!

Wear and tear.
All items are expected to receive some level of wear and tear over a period of time or after regular use, so we cannot issue a specific guarantee on how long an item should last. Heavily used products will show wear much quicker than items that are not used very often. Other factors to consider are whether items are regularly exposed to sea water or abrasive surfaces. We recommend following our product care guide for the best longevity of your accessories. PLEASE INSPECT ITEMS REGULARLY AND DISCONTINUE USE IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE.

Order Cancellations/Amendments.
You may cancel or amend an order within 24 hours of purchasing. Any requests to cancel an order or alter product details may not be possible after this time if we have already started making your items. However, if we have not already started working on your order then we will be happy to accommodate any changes after this time period.

Accessory Alterations.
On occasion, it is possible to make alterations to your Toodlepips accessory to improve fit. If this is the case, we will discuss the options with you, but may have to charge a small fee for the alteration and additional postage to return the altered item to you.

Sizing tolerance.
As everything is handmade individually, there may be very minor discrepancies in sizing. We generally advise to give or take half an inch on the size guides given.

Some fabrics may also make up slightly different. For example, products made with some of our more substantial fabrics, like the Tartan prints, may feel thicker when finished than some of the lighter weight fabrics. However, we pride ourselves on attention to detail regardless of the options chosen, so please be assured that we would never send anything out that we would not be happy putting on our own dog!

The finer details!

We want you to feel confident that you are buying great quality items from us. So here are the finer details about some the components we use for making our accessories!

HARDWARE
All of the hardware pieces used in our accessories are sourced directly from the manufacturer, NOT a third party! The manufacturer we purchase from, specialise in making components for horse saddlery. So they are the best quality and have all been strength tested by the manufacturer themselves!
 BRAND LABELS

Our laser engraved branded labels are made from a high quality faux leather (Alcantara) - an eco friendly vegan alternative to genuine leather labels. But we think they look just as classy and will be more durable as they will  not shrink or crack, like genuine leather would over time.

Product care info

Washing -
To ensure longevity of your accessories, we recommend washing items by hand using only mild detergents and then leaving them to air dry. In order to protect any hardware on the items, we do not recommend machine washing. However, if you have a protective laundry bag, you can wash your accessories up to 30 degrees.

We know how much dogs love a beach walk, but we advise rinsing off items as soon as possible after being exposed to seawater to help prevent rusting or salt stains.

Please note that some fading may occur to fabrics after repeated washes.

Ironing -
All of our fabrics can be ironed using a medium heat but please be aware that certain accessories may contain components that cannot be ironed. Please see below for a list of components that must not be ironed:

Exposed Webbing (Such as on Made to Measure Harnesses or Dog Leads)
Plastic hardware (Plastic clasps and sliders)
Snap fastenings (Used on Snap-on Bandanas)
Fleece (Used to line our Made to Measure Harnesses and Dog Lead handles)
