Our double handle dog leads feature a well placed handle at the lower end of the lead. Both the top handle and the additional lower handle are padded with soft fleece which makes it super comfortable to use. All of our leads come with a securely sewn in d-ring at the top to allow attachment of your own accessories, such as a poo bag dispenser or a torch.

Why use a double handle lead?
  • The extra handle is a great feature if you are working on lead training and would like to keep your dog closer to your side.
  • It is also very useful when at the roadside and you would like added security in restraining your dog while waiting for traffic.
  • When the second handle is not in use, the lead still functions in the usual manner and allows your dog some space to roam.

     Double Handle Lead Sizes

    120cm long - Additional handle is placed 30cm up from tip of trigger hook. Total length 120cm long. Recommended for dogs sized medium up to large.
    (For example: Labrador / Boxer / Border Collie / German Shepherd)

    150cm Long - Additional handle is placed 60cm up from tip of trigger hook. Total length 150cm long. Recommended for dogs sized small up to medium.
    (For example: Miniature Dachshund / Shih Tzu / Spaniels / French Bulldog)

    Strap Width : 2.5cm

    Well made and well pleased!

    Rossi was looked after by friends for a few days and used a double handle lead saying he walked better with that. We did our homework and ToodlePips manufactured this lead to our chosen options. It's well made and Rossi is easier to control using the double handle set-up when necessary (and no hands when he had a doggy ice cream!). Well made, comfortable in use from the outset and excellent service, thank you.
